Bubble Motion launches voice chat application for iPhone users
Bubble Motion, a voice blogging based social communicating service for mobile phones, has today announced the launch of its new Bubbly social voice application for iPhone. The first smartphone-compatible version of the service is been launched for iPhone, and will be made available on Android after some time. The app can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store beginning today.

The report throwing light on trends in the smartphone industry worldwide reveals smartphones sales rose in fourth quarter in year 2011 with 47 percent growth. Samsung and Apple cement their positions further.
According to latest report released by Gartner, an information technology research and advisory company says worldwide smartphone sales to end users soared to 149 million units in the fourth quarter of 2011, a 47.3 per cent increase from the fourth quarter of 2010, according to Gartner.
Total smartphone sales in 2011 reached 472 million units and accounted for 31 percent of all mobile devices sales, up 58 percent from 2010.

Now angry birds is available as an online game on Facebook
Angry birds, which can be safely called as one of the most popular mobile games today, is taking a new avatar and will be available on social networking platform Facebook to be played online just like Farmville. The game was expected to come on Facebook about a year back but was announced to be launched officially today, but it was made available to users yesterday itself. It is one of the most downloaded ones and has gained popularity across platforms.

The Board of Directors of BlackBerry manufacturer Research In Motion (RIM) today announced Thorsten Heins as its new president and CEO, replacing Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie. Mike Lazaridis has now become Vice Chair of RIM’s Board and Chair of the Board’s new Innovation Committee. Jim Balsillie also remains a member of the board. Barbara Stymiest, who formerly served as a member of Royal Bank of Canada’s Group Executive and has been a member of RIM’s Board since 2007, has been named the independent Board Chair. Heins joined RIM from Siemens Communications Group in December 2007 as Senior Vice President for Hardware Engineering and became Chief Operating Officer for Product and Sales in August 2011.

Ericsson ConsumerLab, a consumer research organization, has conducted a study revealing how teenagers prefer to communicate and socialize with each other.
The study consisted of almost 2,000 respondents and involved a representative sample of 20 million people between 13 and 17 years of age and was conducted during between June and November 2011. As per the report, the common usage of texting and Facebook has changed the dynamics of teenage dating.
