Byond Tech has entered into the tablet arena and has launched a series of tablets in various screen sizes catering to an array of consumer. There are 9 variants of the tablets released and are named as the “Mi Book” series. Some of the devices were launched with keypads and are thus named as Laplets for their built and functionality. All the devices run on the Ice Cream Sandwich version of the Android and are capable of playing 3D videos and games.
The devices launched with 7.0-inch screen sizes are the Mi-book Mi 1, Mi 2, Mi 3, Mi 5, and Laplet L1. And the devices supporting 9.0-inch are Mi book Mi 9 and Laplet L9. Rest of the tablets range between 7.0-inch to 10.1-inch screen sizes. Besides this, the 7.0- inch screen tablets support SIM card functionality.
The event was graced by the presence of Bollywood actress Zareen Khan who had come to showcase the products. Present on the launch of the products, she said “I guess this should be the biggest range of Tablets under one brand. The most interesting thing I have seen is the “Laplet”, I am hooked to my Laplet ever since I have started using it.”
The tablets are available with the range starting from Rs 4,300 to Rs 11,000.
