Hewlett-Packard (HP) has expanded its tablet portfolio by introducing a new convertible tablet, called the HP EliteBook Revolve. The device is capable of running both on Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems and is powered by third-generation Intel Core processor.
The company said that, the device is designed for customers who require both an ultrathin notebook and a touch-enabled tablet. It specially caters to business and government customers.
The device boasts an 11.6-inch diagonal HD display, a 720p HD4 camera, dual-microphone array, DTS Studio Sound and included CyberLink YouCam software enable easy face-to-face communication and the creation of HD Web videos. It features enterprise-class docking capabilities for simple connectivity to a display, keyboard, mouse, additional ports or printer. On the connectivity front, the device features 3G WWAN, USB 3.0, DisplayPort and secure NFC.
“Employees want computing devices that work the way they do—flexibly and able to adapt to any situation,” said Gerwald van der Gijp, Director, Commercial Products, Personal Computer Business Unit, HP EMEA.
The HP EliteBook Revolve is expected to be available across Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) in March. The Indian availability and the pricing of the device are not yet confirmed by the company.
