Phones emitting radiation is a cause of concern all around the globe. Looking at the global scenario, DOT will also be releasing Specific Absorption Rate guidelines by September 1 2012. We found through a reliable source, with effect of these guidelines each phone manufacturer needs to display the SAR value whenever the user keys in the code just like one does to get the IMEI code (*#07#) on a mobile phone.

As soon as the user puts in the SAR code in his or her phone, they will get a digital reply, which indicates the SAR level. These norms will be set all across the mobile table. Handsets sold in India, weather imported or built, will be checked for compliance of the SAR levels. This is a good move as there have been reports of mobile radiation causing cancer.
