Micromax has expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of A97–Ninja 4.0 smartphone at Rs 5,999. The company aims second position in the Indian smartphone market with 10 percent market share by the end of 2012.
Running on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS, the A97–Ninja 4.0 features 4 inch capacitive touch-screen and 2 MP fixed focus camera. The smartphone is powered by 1 GHZ Qualcomm processor with an expandable memory up to 32 GB. It offers GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and features Gravity sensor.
Available in 3 color variants, A97 supports GSM 900/1800 MHz, and WCDMA 2,100 MHz bands and offers HSDPA and HSUPA speeds of 7.2 mbps and 5.76 mbps respectively. The smartphone is backed by a 1,400 mAh battery, which the company claims, gives 5 hours of talktime and up to 175 hours of standby time.
