Sony expands Xperia range, unveils Sony Xperia E

Sony Xperia E.Sony has yet again expanded its Xperia smartphone portfolio with the launch of the latest Sony’s most affordable Android smartphone and will be available in black, white, and pink colors.

The smartphone is not available in India yet, however it is expected to hit the Indian shores soon. The device is equipped with HD Voice technology that allows high quality audio calls. It also uses noise cancellation technology to filter out background noises.

It will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and will feature DLNA wireless connectivity. It boasts 3.5-inch HVGA resolution screen and incorporates 1 GHz processor. The device features a 1,500 mAh battery.

The device boasts an integrated data usage application that allows users to check their data usage. It is also equipped with an extended standby mode increasing the phone’s standby time by up to a factor of four.

Sony however hasn’t revealed the price and availability of this smartphone.
