Don 2 has been one of the most eagerly awaited films of recent times, with most of us looking forward to how Shahrukh Khan (SRK) will reprise his role as an underworld baddie. And in keeping with recent tradition, the film has spawned a game as well which one can play on one’s Android device. Called Don2- The Game Lite, the game is a preview to a soon to come fulllength game (we do hope it comes).
It is a point and shoot game where you play Shahrukh Khan’s character Don who now wants to conquer the underworld of Europe. The lite version of the game has just one level called the Trap where Don goes to meet Jaruwan, another gangster to collect a package but is double-crossed by him. Diplomatic negotiations not being an option, Don now has to shoot his way out of trouble. For this, you need to aim and shoot at the oncoming assailants. Of course, getting shot yourself is not good – your health goes down, although you regain it slowly. The left side of the screen is used for movement while the right side is for adjusting the viewing angle, the aim and the shoot button is on the right side as well. All this makes aiming and shooting and moving at the same time a bit tedious as we had to use both out hands on the right side to keep the aim stable and press the shoot button. The background music of the game is inspired from the film and the graphics are very good, with SRK looking terrific. The game is a systems hog, though - it requires a 480 x 800 resolution display, 1GHz processor and 512 MB or more RAM, which make it a high-end device game. We must confess we had a blast playing it, fussy controls apart. A must for SRK lovers.
